Day Porter Position

Salary: Depending on experience

JOB DUTIES:

  • Performs exterior cleaning duties at the job site
  • Picks up garbage from the property grounds
  • Empties garbage receptacles as needed
  • Sweeps sidewalks
  • Wipes window sills
  • Removes cobwebs and graffiti
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • No education required, however, a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors to perform all cleaning duties of a shopping center/work site.  
  • Other physical requirements include:  Standing for long periods of time, carrying, use of hands and arms, ability to crouch, kneel, and crawl.  Must be able to see, speak, hear, and smell.  Must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds normally and occasionally up to 75 pounds.  
  • Person must also be willing and able to work on site in a multitude of different weather conditions.
  • Must be willing to work on Holidays and weekends.
  • The person must have a reliable means of transportation to get to work on time.
  • Must be able to understand English.  
  • A qualified person must also be able to communicate via cell phone and operate a cell phone in order to send photos and text messages to the supervisor.

Account Manager

Salary: Depending on experience

Universal Site Services is a leader in providing on-grounds and exterior maintenance services for Northern California. We are committed to full-service solutions that give maximum independence to our clients. Our company offers a wide range of quality services and products ranking us at the Bay Area’s top provider.

We are currently seeking an Operations/Area Manager to assist with day to day activities of the Operations Department. These activities include the management of both employees and sub-contractors. The Area Manager oversees two of the four core services which include:

Janitorial / Day Porter
Pressure Washing

Company vehicle, company gas card, company phone, and company laptop are provided for business use.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Actively inspect sites for quality assurance at both commercial and retail centers in the San Jose Area.  
  • Interact and develop good working relationships with property managers
  • Meet customers on site for site walkthroughs
  • Seek out add-ons for current services
  • Provide quotes and coordinate additional service work
  • Ensure customer files are kept current
  • Provide prompt corrective action for service-related issues or complaints
  • Execute payroll reporting
  • Train both staff and subcontractors
  • Ensure staff are properly equipped with the right tools, equipment, and supplies

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma is required; BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred. 
  • At least two years of experience in supervisory role.
  • Computer literacy skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience must include in-depth business PC and spreadsheet knowledge.
